Notes: Artist: Santana Location: The Palladium, New York Date: February 9th 1978 (Late Show) Recording: SB/FM? Artwork: No Lineage: Silver>cdex151>wav>tlh>flac8>You Excellent soundboard (or is this an FM?) recording of the late show. The late show is/was a KBFH broadcast, I believe. However, both early and late shows appear on the KBFH site, I am guessing that this show was the broadcast. Does anyone have conclusive evidence? I have checked the Santanamigos website to verify setlists etc and both this and the early show would appear to be complete. This show does have 'Samba Pa Ti' after the band intros. This is taken from the Japanese boot 'Rhythm Flow II' on the Trial label. I have put a sound sample on the comments section. The late show is/was a KBFH broadcast, I believe. However, both early and late shows appear on the KBFH site, I am guessing that the 2nd show was the broadcast. Does anyone have conclusive evidence? IMHO, the 'open' SB sound makes this a more enjoyable recording than the late show. See what you think. I have checked the Santanamigos website to verify setlists etc and both this and the late show would appear to be complete, however, about a minute is missing from the start of 'I'll Be Waiting'. Did they play 'Samba Pa Ti' at the end of this show? Does anyone have a recording with it? This is taken from the Japanese boot 'Rhythm Flow' on the Trial label. Late Show to follow.
