Comment
Recorded for the BBC; often circulates as 3/25/71 as the show was originally scheduled for that date but postponed to April 1st due to Robert Plant's vocal problems.

Notes: complete BBC show, a bit too much bass at times to muddy the mix.

Notes: This is a nice alternative to the many versions of this material. I'm sure most of you hardcore ZEPHEADS have this release either in boot form or the official release. However, this release is a little different from most of these versions of this show that I've heard. This is sourced from a vinyl LP that I picked up back in the late 80's ( Does anybody remember vinyl ? ) . Aside from a few pops and a small bit of hum in the quieter passages, this is an excellent stereo source. Unlike the official release of this material, all of the between song applause and commentary by Robert Plant are left in ( Note to producer Jimmy Page ). This also includes a killer version of Communication Breakdown left off of the official release, however other tracks are left out. There is a nice warm vibe to this entire set that makes you feel like you are there, so check it out. You'll be glad you did !!
