String Cheese Incident - 5/8/1998
Be Here Now, Asheville, NC
DAT SBD -> CD -> EAC -> CoolEdit 48/44.1 resample -> SHN
Hey all,
This is one of the earlier shows that went around etree, and a
damn good one at that, but.. there was always something strange
about my copy.. I couldn't place the vocals as sounding like
*any* of the SCI members, and I was always wondering if they
used to have a different vocalist or something.. Even the
style was kind of different than other SCI shows I'd heard,
seemed kinda... slow... hmm.. DAT -> CD.. slow.. hmm..
So I read in a track, changed the sample rate to 48 and then converted
to 44.1 in CoolEdit, and damn if it wasn't Michael Kang singin'
Estimated.. Turns out the original version that went around
back in '98 was never resampled from 48 to 44.1 kHz, and so was
a 48 kHz sound being played (slowly) at 44.1 kHz!
Anyways.. I've resampled the whole thing and retracked a bit (the first
few notes of estimated were at the end of d2, while the rest of the tune
was on d3 for example)
Enjoy!

Note: There were some glitches on my original CD's, maybe probs
with the DAT? A dropout/cut in Black Clouds on D2 and some dropouts in
Big Scotia on D3 come to mind.
