05/28/2002 | Joe Mullany | I question the date or location of this show do the fact that the Dead performed at the Felt Forum in N.Y.C. on this date |
05/29/2002 | Joe Jupille | Yes, it has long circulated with a date of 10/72, and now also circulates as 5/14/70. I understand the latter to be moderately well established, though I have asked and haven't heard the justification for the 5/14/70 dating. |
07/12/2002 | Joe Mullany | 5-14-70 doesn't sound right either, because the dead played at Merramec College, Kirkwood Mo. |
07/12/2002 | Joe Jupille | Right, except that the old identification of this material had it at Scotty's Music Store in St. Louis, which makes 5/14/70 possible. It has also been speculated that the "Jetty's" derives from someone's messy handwriting (Scotty's > Jetty's), but I think this is speculation. |
