04/26/2002 Andy Gustin There is a fifth track on disc 2, the cover "Moonlight Mile" (Jagger/Richards). This mysterious SBD filler is probably from early 1976, which I believe is the only period JGB played the tune.
04/26/2002 Joe Jupille A knowledgeable collector has suggested that the Moonlight Mile is from 2/21/76 late show, though I can't confirm or deny that.
06/12/2002 Joe Jupille I have not heard this .shn set, but odds are pretty good that it derives from a recording made by Barry Glassberg (30' spaced Sony ECM 280s > Sony TC 153 or 158 from the 1st row loge).
05/05/2003 Joe Jupille The above may not have been such a safe bet, though I don't know it to be wrong. Eddie Claridge also taped these shows (per the Jerry Site: Sony ECM-280 mics > Sony TC-152 casette deck, recorded center of balcony on railing), and his tape and Glassberg's sound a lot alike. Someone will have to go through and carefully compare this with known copies of each of those masters in order to determine which (if either!) is represented in these .shns.
02/13/2005 CS Miller If the other, newer source is definitely Glassberg's, then this one is probably Claridge's. They are definitely different sources, as the mics on this one sound like they were placed closer together. Both are nice, so it just comes down to personal preference.
