| Notes: | senn 421 - very good sound. This show is strong for the fall tour opener. Set 2 is especially tasty with Scarlet-> Fire , Samson to start so the energy is high, follwed by Terrapin-> PITB with typically good fall 79 playing. The aft end of the show (Rat-> Playin' In The Band) I like because it DOESN'T have the over played Miracle > Bertha > Lovin' . So if you like Jerry songs, this set will appeal to you. | |||||

| Notes: | Rolfe aud - sound not as good as other recordings of Steve (may be the hall). Solid show but I wouldn't rate this as a top 10 79 show. It is a pleasant listen none the less. [2005-08-20] Update. I changed my opinion of both the show and the recording. The sound is very good for an aud and the show is on the "must hear" list for 79. Set 1 is solidly played but it is set 2 that makes this a should hear show. The Scarlet > Fire, Smason trifecta gets thing soff to a rocking start and are very good versions. The pace slows with a nice Terrapin that seques into a short but still upbeat jammed PITB. The jam out of drums on the aud comes across well with the hall resonances. The Rat > PITB makes for a set without any time filling tunes. This is one I suggest you check out. | |||||
