Long one of my favorite shows; for some unknown reason it doesn't circulate much. This show came to me on a DBX encoded reel in 1979. I was told at the time that it was an edited dub off the master reel, but listening to it critically, there's too much hiss for that. I still have that reel, transfered from it directly to dat. From Dat, it went through a Digi96 card to my hard disk. Sound Forge was used to normalize, anti-alias and resample to 44.1, then CD WAV to track it out. Those WAV files were directly converted to SHN. I hope that spreading this copy causes an even better one to arise out there, because this show deserves some attention. It has never failed to stop the conversation at any gathering where I've played it. Enjoy! Mike McCaw

Around And / Around ENCORE Werewolves Of London This version is one of two versions I had available to me. The first (A) is the one being spread. The second (B) was from a shn set, (lineage - MR>?>R>D>Digi96>Soundforge>CDWAV>SHN. ) but the sound was poor in comparison, mainly due to bad NR leading to a blunt muffled sound, lacking in high end detail. There were also numerous other problems with this source B, such as variable tape speed and a few glitches, which were absent from source A. There were some small problems which were common to both sources A and B, some of which have been corrected with soundforge. Original Lineage given as: SBD>MSC(Betty's)>DAT>C(Nak Dragon)>DAT>CDr (add >Shn if you went for the shn version) Notes on edits: Disc 1 track 1 - 5 secs silence chopped off start track 3 indexed properly, split into uncle and big river seperately track 4, Big River - there was a dramatic drop in levels between 5:07 and 5:49, and from 5:56 to 6:02. This has been corrected as best as possible using soundforge to normalize to a certain level and then some EQ was added, to match the sound to the main sections. Disc 3 The cut in Around is on both versions i had available, with version B having an additional glitch at the beginning.
