Notes: sbd - not as rich as others of this year, somewhat thin and tinny. Show drags. Bobby comments that Mickey is not feeling well (we now know he had split). Easy Wind has Pigpen improving the lyrics a tad. No real jams in set 2, as Good Lovin' had a repetitive structure but no real improv. UJB had a sgort jam that would become a later launching point for that song's improv. You can skip this one and not miss anything IMHO.

[2007-09-21]As of this date, this is the preferred version of this source. My thoughts on the performance are unchanged.

[2009-04-06]Should look for the original shnid, in meantime Ladner transcription is preferred

Notes: flac16; Recording Info: SBD -> Master Reel -> CD; Transfer Info: CD -> Samplitude Professional v10.02 -> Adobe Audition v1.5 -> FLAC; All Transfers and Mastering By Charlie Miller [2012-02-04]This is a very clear, well mixed tape. The performance is leisurely though and therefore undistinguished from typical shows of this period.

Notes: Grateful Dead February 21, 1971 Capitol Theatre, Port Chester, NY SBD -> Dobly A Reel -> Dolby A decode -> DAT -> Sound Forge NR -> CD-R The Sound Forge noise reduction was used to attenuate a very narrow frequency band (in the vicinity of 8000 Hz) which was present as interference on the original reels. See http://members.home.net/orf/notch.html for details. Remastered by Leigh Orf <[email protected]> ----------------- I've added some .toc files that are recognized by cdrdao. They add pre-gaps to the tracks during audience noise, so track times are more accurate. Jason Lunz <[email protected]> ----------------- Disc 1 Set 1 1. Cold Rain And Snow (7:24) 2.
