| Notes: | sbd [2007-04-05]Good sound and mix - show didn't excite me very much. Set 1 and the 1st half of set 2 run through much of the active rotation at this time. Usual songs that I enjoy are familiar - Scarlet, PITB but not noteworthy. Set2 jam is based on WRS>LIG etc and this isn't my favorite tune, seems too forced on both the musical and lyrical side - Bobby trying to be profound and fancy in this composition. That being said, this is a must hear version. The jamming is a pleasant variation because it does use these songs and it also is another example of how they were experimenting with placing US Blues in the jam segment (here in the caboose slot). Also the Phil&Ned didn't play in foobar but decompressed and then it was fine so there might be something amiss in the shn encoding though you don't miss any music. | |||||

Highlight of the show was the Wharf Rat but all the songs are played with lots of little details typical of this time that make the whole show worth hearing. Show review hasn't changed - standard material delivered expertly with the exception (on the upside) that the WRS > LIG > Wharf Rat > US Blues is an unusual combination with the LIG enclosing an interesting very jazz-esque jam. This set 2 jam I'd put on the must hear list for its uniqueness, interesting thematic exploration and the US Blues bringing up the rear. | |||||
