Notes: Excellent mix. This is one LONG show. Set 1 Deal has a nice "loopy" beat and vocal inflections. Two Souls in Communion drags a bit. Everything else par. Set 2 "Good Lovin'" has Pigpen "get down to bidness" and "shifting gears one more time" with Garcia grovvin in the background. Not the best version but a fun listen. Dark Star begins with a rat-a-tat stacatto type jam, dissoiving into a sparser meandering space jam that fades into a drum solo. There is a reverse fade out of the drum solo with Phil doing kind of a bass solo thing, which Jerry joins quietly as they morph back into the spacey jam they were doing before drums. Again, not a mind melting rendition but its a 72 Dark Star. The set ends with 4 more isolated set 1 songs, and an uneventful NFA >GDTRFB > NFA sandwich. This show would have been better had they cut the set 1 type songs after Dark Star in set 2, and had a more energetic NFA > GDTRFB > NFA to end the show.

Notes: set1 sbd samaritano - in the info file it states "Although this source *does not* sound quite as clean as the patch source or shnid=143, it *does* include the in between song tuning and banter that the others have edited out." [2006-02-22] Has a fair number of flaws (spots of diginoise) and some hiss. Typical E72 set 1. Nothing knocked me over.

Notes: SBD -> (16 Track) Master Reel -> Dat [2007-03-07]Vocals on Sugar Mag have noticeable reverb added and seems pitched sharp? This may have been borrowed from E72. This is not one of the stronger 72 shows. The Dark Star is meandering until the post drums portion. Lots of songs but no set choreography that ties it together.
