Notes: Must have Europe 72 show. Highlights Pigpen's style. 2nd set has a "quiet" Dark Star with a great Pigpen medly (Good Lovin > Caution > Who Do You Love > Caution > Good Lovin).
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 4 A/B A/B View 8828
Notes: SBD latest upgrade circa 4/2002 via deadlists tree. [2006-02-11] NFA has that China Cat jam characteristic of the 71 versions. Set 1 has a medlay of many tunes typical for teh time. The PITB is ~ 12 minutes, somewhat degraded by an over zealous Donna. Set 2 starts with some more standalone yunes, though the Truckin' has some improv. The meast of set 2 is a Star > Sugar Mag > Good Lovin > Caution > Who Do You Love > Good Lovin. The Star is not particularly trippy. The Pigpen portion definitley rocks. Another long E72 show with some highlights but not in the top quartile.

Notes: Aud via Dave Minor - overall sound quality is very good for this era, though the recording does have some localized flaws, gaps in one channel etc. You definetly get the audience vibe from this recording. If you like auds, then you will enjoy at least one listen to this one one though you may not want to archive a permanent copy.
