The bass doesn't sound to be quite so muddy, and the hiss seems a little less prominent. Another fine upgrade. -"The Charlie Parker Quartet, the Dizzy Gillespie Group, and the Bud Powell Trio were all booked at Birdland May 16-26; Parker remained (opposite Ella Fitzgerald) through June 3. Davis replaced Gillespie on this night (Gillespie was probably still in Toronto where he'd taken part in the Massey Hall concert with Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, Charles Mingus, and Max Roach). According to biographical sources no one was more aware of this than Miles himself, and it was in the winter of 1953-1954 that he returned to East St. Louis and locked himself in a guest room in his father's farm for seven days until the drug was fully out of his system. - QC done by Bgreen/guygee md5 fbe0dd78be7d454533b92c3fb2b1e167 *md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t01.flac b694b5df4eb4602ad3b13342aced439e *md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t02.flac f82d73dae7041b61b6955d46bb86188f *md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t03.flac c964e708e6e6a86f650a11862c1504c1 *md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t04.flac c7605bf417be9dce088a943caba5fb2d *md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t05.flac ffp md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t01.flac:72a1a6daa770a9a7b537e3b52d55c40f md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t02.flac:005b4d8c2f5585679992540848f6b77c md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t03.flac:e0cb47a33f48a6dae94102c32e116203 md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t04.flac:3872fe9e1a356fde1c3ac056482b4cf2 md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t05.flac:91964bdb59eb45f3068d61e5b7e86a12 st5 72a1a6daa770a9a7b537e3b52d55c40f [shntool] md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t01.flac 005b4d8c2f5585679992540848f6b77c [shntool] md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t02.flac e0cb47a33f48a6dae94102c32e116203 [shntool] md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t03.flac 3872fe9e1a356fde1c3ac056482b4cf2 [shntool] md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t04.flac 91964bdb59eb45f3068d61e5b7e86a12 [shntool] md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t05.flac shntool length expanded size cdr WAVE problems filename 5:39.10 59823164 --- -- ---xx md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t01.flac 4:45.45 50379884 --- -- ---xx md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t02.flac 5:57.68 63134780 --- -- ---xx md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t03.flac 3:53.06 41115356 --- -- ---xx md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t04.flac 4:54.31 51934556 --- -- ---xx md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t05.flac 25:10.10 266387740 B (totals for 5 files, 0.2523 overall compression ratio) spectral analysis from TLH md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t01.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100% md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t02.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100% md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t03.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100% md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t04.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 99% md1953-05-16.fm.LL62.d1t05.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100% old md5 fbe0dd78be7d454533b92c3fb2b1e167 *01.Move.flac b694b5df4eb4602ad3b13342aced439e *02.Tenderly.flac f82d73dae7041b61b6955d46bb86188f *03.A Night in Tunisia.flac c964e708e6e6a86f650a11862c1504c1 *04.Dig.flac c7605bf417be9dce088a943caba5fb2d *05.I Got Rythm.flac
