Notes: Notes: Digitally remastered using a custom built, Dual-DAW, nicknamed Bertha, by [email protected] on January 14, 2003. (*) After analyzing the hiss, I am certain the original source contains at least two analog generations. No noise reduction was used in the remastering process. Disc 2 to Disc 3 change is made between Space and The Wheel, and was made with no fades to preserve a clean rejoining of tracks during the transfer to larger media. The original SHS were uploaded to me by Tim Wiley. Enjoy! jay From Tim's notes: No noise reduction preformed. No edit work preformed. Fades are present in between disks. There is a drop out somewhere on D1t8. A Cass. flip on D2t4. The tracking might be off. Also some redundancy may be present between disk 1 and 2. Ripped/SHN for Jay on 01/02/2003 EAC: Secure mode to extract all tracks @ 100 % quality no reported errors. EAC extraction 100% for all files. Lisa's copy does not have the hiss that is present on other seeds of this set. A speed problem (approx 2.5 seconds fast per 1 minute) as compared to the video was corrected along with the following patches using the Lazy Cow video audio track (JVC Single Tube Camera, Nak 300 Shotguns). - Mixed by [email protected] - FLAC conversion 21-DEC-2006 Set 2 Matrix DSBD>D>CD>EAC>WAV>Cool Edit Processing (drop out cross-fades)>SHN (seekable, via MKWACT) (shnid 17408) All EAC Extractions came up 100.00 in accuracy. I did not create a log file for disk 1, but you'll have to trust ... Note: I believe this is a somewhat significant improvement on the existing seed of 9/11/88 that is out there. There was no hiss on my DAT, so I believe this is a Digital SBD or a very fine cassette master. NO NOISE-REDUCTION was performed on this seed Edits: 1. Drop outs removed using Cool Edit and Cross Fades at 3:15 of D1.T1 2. Drop outs removed using Cool Edit and Cross Fades at 1:50 and 2:11 at D1.T2 3. My original Disks had D1 ending at Wheel and D2 Starting at Stella Blue. Both were faded in. Audio\Video Faults: 1) At beginning of show, 2 minutes 05.000 seconds was missing from video and was filled in with audio from sbd soundtrack with created graphics. 2) Between Little Red Rooster and Peggy O, 47.007 seconds was missing from the sbd source and filled in with audio from the original video soundtrack. This portion of the audio was normalized to blend in better. 3) Between Memphis Blues and Tennessee Jed, 36.212 seconds was missing from the sbd source and filled in with audio from the original video soundtrack. This portion of the audio was normalized to blend in better. 4) At end of 1st set, 18.000 seconds was missing from video and was filled in with audio from sbd soundtrack with created graphics. 5) At beginning of second set, 17.722 seconds was missing from sbd and was filled in with audio from the original video soundtrack. This portion of the audio was normalized to blend in better. 6) Between Not Fade Away and Baby Blue, 38.380 seconds was missing from the sbd source and filled in with audio from the original video soundtrack. This portion of the audio was normalized to blend in better.
