| Notes: | Miles Davis Septet November 17, 1982 Woolsey Hall, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut Notes: This one should make a lot of Miles Davis and John Scofield collectors very happy. A previously uncirculated recording of the first Miles Davis concert that included John Scofield in the lineup, with known lineage and geneology. Sourced from a 3.75ips reel to reel copy of the analog audience master. With the double guitar attack of Mike Stern and Scofield, this concert reaches some extraordinary heights and Miles' playing is inspired and aggressive. According to PLosin's great Miles references, approximately seven to eight minutes is missing from the very end of Jean Pierre, but otherwise this recording is complete. I suspect Losin's track timings are rough estimates, because they do not match. This version has precise timings with the track indexes in the perfect spots (a second before each of Miles' coded phrases that trigger a song transition). Those who enjoy later era Miles in heavy blues mode will love every minute of this remarkable performance. The DAT was then track indexed and cloned via optical to CDR on a Tascam CDRW-700. On June 2, 2005, the waves were extracted on a MAC G4 and file names were retitled.
