Notes: Phish 12-6-94 UCSB Event Center Santa Barbara, CA Source: Neumann KM140's (no other source info given) Transfer: DA-20 mkii> Philips CDR 870 > EAC > CDWAV > Soundforge 4.5 > Shntool > SHN Transfer by: Brandon Johnston Disc 1: Set I: 1.Llama 2.Mound 3.Down With Disease 4.Fluffhead 5.Jesus Left Chicago 6.Sparkle 7.Stash 8.Golgi Apparatus Set II: 9.crowd noise 10.The Curtain > 11.Sample in a Jar Disc 2: Set II Continued: 1.Also Sprach Zarathustra 2.Poor Heart 3.Mike's Song > 4.Simple > 5.The Mango Song > 6.Weekapaug Groove 7.HYHU > Bike > HYHU 8.Blue and Lonesome* 9.Foreplay* > Long Time* 10.Run Like an Antelope 11.crowd noise 12.E: Back in the USSR Tech Notes: I extracted the master cds as a range and resplit the tracks using CDWAV. The EAC logs for each disc are included (it was orignally split into 3 discs with the third disc begining with Bike). I removed some filler from the third disc then joined disc 2 and 3 together before resplitting as there was overlapping crowd noise. I applied 5 second fades at the beginning and end of each set using soundforge. There was a major level adjustment between 1:47 and 1:48 of Llama. I normalized the first 1:47 to more closely match the levels of the rest of the show and applied a graphic fade over the next second to attempt to counter the moving levels. It still sounds a little weird but it is much improved and only really noticeable if you listen for it. Due to the splicing of disc 2 and disc 3 I ran shntool over the fileset to remove SBE's.
