Notes: Disc One: Set I: 01. Peaches en Regalia 02. Walk Away 03. Slave to the Traffic Light 04. Wild Child 05. AC/DC Bag 06. Colonel Forbin's Ascent -> 07. Fly Famous Mockingbird 08. Bold as Love Disc Two: Set II: 01. Possum 02. You Enjoy Myself 03. Cities 04. Good Times Bad Tims 05. On Your Way Down 06. Whipping Post This is one of my _all time_ favorite Phish shows. I got this directly off the master cassette, so this is the best possible source. There was a third set to this show, but the taper's ride needed to leave after the second set, so unfortunately this is all we have, and the rest is history. -Jeff Ishaq 08/20/00 Burlington, VT PS - Dolby tip. As this was encoded with Dolby C when it mastered onto cassette, that means you ideally play it back (decode) with Dolby C. Pass this on to any analog folks this show goes to, please: Never use Dolby to record, only to play back.

Notes: :::::SOURCE: SBD (Taped by Chuck Jackson) > Marantz PMD-420 w/Dolby C > Cassette Master :::::LINEAGE: Cassette master > My DAT (Digital master) :::::TRANSFER: My DAT (digital master) Fostex D5 > optical cable > HOSA ODL-276 > coax cable > Waveterminal 2496 with hardware downsampling to 44.1k > CoolEdit 2000 + CDWave 1.6 > WAV > mkwACT 0.97b1 > SHN v3, by Jeff Ishaq :::::SCARCITY: This is the only publically-available CSBD of this show. It is most commonly indicated as "with Dolby C" on tapelists. While there was a third set played that night, the taper's ride (and thus the taper) unfortuantely had to leave after the second set. :::::FLAWS: * The cassette master of this 1988 show was pretty old before it was transfererd to DAT. Subsequently, there are some inherent flaws probably due to tape rot, mostly in the form of very brief channel dropouts. For example, see d2t1 15:02 -> 15:03. Rest assured this is the best source available for this show, and it is one of the most intact 1988 shows I've found. * d1t1 Peaches fades-into; this is on the cassette master * d1t8 03:38 Gain adjustment, some minor clipping, are on cassette master :::::FIXES: d1t5 01:09.405 -> 01:09.406 removed very subtle pop d1t6 04:15.226 -> 04:15.226 removed pop d1t7 06:35 softened between-song noise d1t8 06:31.846 -> 06:31.847 removed pop 06:31.934 removed pop d2t1 00:02.772 removed pop The following were locations of partial drop outs in one channel that were fixed by copying the wave of the good channel, matching the volume, and smoothing the boundaries using Cool Edit 2000 by [email protected] d1t1 00:59 d1t7 04:16 partial d/o d1t8 03:40.578, 03:40.706, 03:41.282, 03:41.345, 03:42.033, 03:58.793, 04:14.095, 06:32 two brief clicks (not during music) d1t9 01:32.200 (left channel glitch, was not fixed because it might not be a tape artifact) d2t1 15:03.060 d2t3 04:32.824 d2t4 00:01.360, 03:02.939 :::::CREDITS: Transferred, tracked, touched up, and seeded thru Dankseeds by Jeff Ishaq .
