Many copies have been made from this reel throughout the years but this is the first time a proper digitization has been done with it. This is an excellent but incomplete recording. 'S' actually brought two reels with him to this show but when he loaded the second reel, he managed to thread it upside down and didn't find out until after the show when he went to play it back. He probably wouldn't have had enough tape to record the full show either way but something is better than nothing. What was recorded captures one of the better 72 performances for this portion of the show.

Going To California Concert File description: "Zeppelin originally itended to play Vancouver this evening, but this plan was thwarted by the Canadian authorities. Buses were therefore charted to bring fans from Canada down to Seattle. The start of the concert was delayed because the buses were stuck in traffic. Plant: "Well, what can we say! Somebody tried to do a lot of damage in Vancouver, I believe; breaking doors down and all that old shit! It's pretty unfortunate really when we try to stand for an alternative idea to the system that goes on now, and we're talking about love and peace and somebody's smashing everything up. I don't really know the situation, but I know that we couldn't go this year. We couldn't even go across the border. So, anybody from Vancouver here? Well, that's a nice one! We've always had such a good time there." Ironically, crowd problems start to develop during the acoustic set. Plant: "I think the people at the front should sit down, so the people at the back can see and please don't kick any policemen! If we're to get anywhere, it''s no good kicking them. They don't even know what they're doing!"
