Notes: | Gov't Mule Promo West Pavilion Columbus, Ohio July 15, 2008 ********************************************************************************* This is a Matrix of two different AU recordings. One recording from the front row off to Warren's left(me), and the other recording on superior gear from the "sweet spot"(Z-Man). Thanks very much to Z-man for allowing his source to be used for this project. Based on the results, I'd say we make a great team. I hope you all enjoy. Let's do this again soon! This show was a unreal five-dollar bargain. I hadn't seen Mule since 2001, having been disappointed by the permanent addition of a keyboardist, and just missing old sound too much not to be making comparisons. On this night I went primarily to check out the Mule and see what they were about in 2008. Also, I figured that if I were able to get a position so that I could make a super guitar-heavy recording, that we could have a really cool sounding Matrix. It was nice to hear that Warren still cranks the amps up. I did end up getting a bit more sound from the PA than I expected. My recording has a lot of the Guitar straight from Warren's amps, as well as a nice amount of Matt's kit direct from the stage, mixed with some PA from above me. | |||||
