Notes: sbd [2006-07-11] Another fun college show in April 69. The TC review is well written and reflects my same take. Set 1 starts off with a well delivered LL. On this one Pig delivers his raps and Garcia provides lots of tasty seriphs. The next highlight is a very well done GMLSG. The pacing is just right. The Morning Dew that follows is one of the best from this era, with Garcia trying some unusual guitar lines throughout. This would be on my must hear list. The DS-> SS-> 11-> DDHNM is typical of this era, though not exceptional, it is well played without snafu's. Set 2 shows this snippet - Alligator-> Caution Jam -> AWBYGN Jam. Don't know what else is missing form this date, but this looks to agree with what Eaton shows on his list.

Notes: SBD -> Master Reel -> Cassette -> Dat -> CD Transfer Info: CD -> Samplitude Professional v7.02 -> FLAC All Transfers and Mastering By Charlie Miller [2007-10-07] April 69 was a strong month IMO. This show supports that statement. here are a few choice LAM comments "Subject: amazing i simply cannot get enough stephen into 11, one of the best things ever to come into existence. why did they have to start playing the shit they did in the 70's (obviously this is an overstatements), but godamn, how nice were those days before donna polluting some classic jams. if i had a time machine id go back to co and watch this show. shows like this one can appreciate in the soberest state of mind. i miss the high green chilly, wind in windy jams. why would one stop playing that as part of stephen and prefer fading into something else. i dont understand why they stopped playing this part of the song live after the early 70's, its one of the best parts of stephen. anyways, this is one of my favorite elevens. Subject: The Eleven. The fact that the eleven from this show is not mentioned in the reviews is the work of satan himself. Huge eleven here. If you are a fan, this is a MUST HEAR. Great little show here. Solid sound as well. Subject: Dark Star A pleasant "Dark Star," one in which they take their time and listen to each otherr. In the zone and filled with character. It follows all the contours of the classic Live Dead "Dark Star."
