David Crosby plays 12-string guitar on Cumberland and New Speedway, and Jerry plays electric on these tunes. The best tapes of this set supplement the vault SBD of the acoustic set by patching in a truly excellent AUD which supplies Don't Ease. The AUD Don't Ease is patched in before Friend Of The Devil. After Deep Elem Blues there is a splice, followed by Cumberland, another splice and then New Speedway. SET 2 is electric Dead. Before El Paso Jerry says "OK now here's where Weir gets his wish, at the expense of everybody." Most of Easy Wind is cut. There is a cut at 1:57 of the Good Lovin' Reprise, with considerable Jamming lost. David Crosby, NRPS, and Rubber Duck Company with Tom Constanten were also on the bill (DeadBase IX).
