Notes: Source: from the original source & documented non-vault 2?nd gen SBD 7 inch reels as noted below, originally recorded in stealth (quite a feat!!) -- Analog To Digital using a Revox A-77 Reel 2 Reel > Alesis Masterlink ML-9600 (24 bit sampled @ 96k) > 16 bit @ 44.1k downsample to CD>EAC>SHN This is some additional info on this show that was posted on the Deadlists mailing list: Charlie Miller wrote: "This is an open letter to Jim Wise: Can you give us some more info on the 9/20/70 lineage? I have seen what was posted with the discs, but I wasn't sure if it was all 2nd gen reels, or if the "original source" was a master reel or another 2nd gen reel. Jim?? Anyone??" To which Bill Gadsden replied: "What Jim Wise meant by 'original source' was the original source who put this show in circulation in 1973, which was myself. At that time I reconstructed the show from 4 sometimes overlapping reels; the acoustic set and Casey Jones through Good Lovin was on a BASF reel at 3 3/4", the remainder of the electric set and Brokedown Palace and Together Again resided on three different Scotch reels, one of which was 1/2 tracked. The reel with the final portion of Caution-And We Bid You Goodnight was lost many years ago. For this portion, I substituted my Maxell copy made in 1973. The reels that were used in 1973 and again this year when I digitized the show and gave it to Jim W. are 2nd gen. I never saw the masters of any of it in 1973 and believe they're long gone." Source selection, transcription and circulation by Jim Wise ? THANKS! eac&shn by Darrin ([email protected])
