Notes: While I knew of Radiohead from hearing OK Computer a lot in college during outings in the car to smoke pot with my friends, other than Paranoid Android and Airbag, I pretty much ignored them. Would have preferred to listen to Neurosis or Immolation, but that wasn'92t very popular as a band to listen to while stoned within my cohort. 10 years later (2007) and my brother puts in Amnesiac. For some reason, it resonated with me and within a week I was bothering my brother to let me borrow it so I could listen to Dollars and Cents, Packt Like Sardines In A Crushed Tin Box, and Like Spinning Plates. To say it was a breakthrough record to why so many people love this band is an understatement. Fast forward to 2011 and not only do I have every record but Pablo Honey I am shelling out cash for the Limited Vinyl Newspaper Version of King Of Limbs. Radiohead just send you down into a hole that you don'92t want to come out of. Unfortunately, by the time I started taping, Radiohead U.S. shows were getting rarer and rarer. They never came to Louisville and taping in an arena/stadium is not really my thing. Unless you shell out big bucks for floor seats so that you can control your recording, you have to take what you can get. Finally, Radiohead came to Cincinnati and I was able to purchase some very expensive floor tickets for my brother and I. I didn'92t know what to expect really, I was just happy I would get to see them because they might stop touring extensively within the coming years. Overall, while I wasn'92t floored, I am glad I got to see them. While the setlist didn'92t include as many songs that I would have preferred, (nothing off Amnesiac!), I was glad to hear Lucky, All I Need, Myxomatosis, and Videotape, though I really could have done without The Bends and No Surprises. It is also nice that they rotate 2/3 of the songs in and out of the setlist, so you know your show will be pretty unique. The recording is really good. A- to my subjective ears, though there is a little bit of talking during a few quiet parts. Though surprisingly rare on this recording, people still seem to think that during quiet parts they are supposed to yap away about inane bullshit instead of appreciating that you are one of the few audiences that get to hear A Wolf At The Door. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Recorded about fifty feet away from the stage Stage Right.
