Notes: This is my favorite of the 4 MSG gigs for sure. The amazing energy that the band projected, a fantastic setlist packed with unexpected songs (that of course were featured repeatedly later in the tour) and songs that I always want to hear - LPS, CUTW, Lucky…. - the crowd was amazing as well - it all came together as one superb live experience, and I feel lucky to have witnessed it first hand. We’ve solved some ridiculously complicated ticket charade to have everyone in their right places lol - thanks to good friends and higher forces… Tapewise - I only did some minor clean-up / tracking - but there was hardly anything to ‘fix’!! So enjoy N3!! Immeasurable thanks go to Inez for the ticket help and Josh for the accommodations and hospitality. Without the assistance these two provided, this series of 2018 MSG recordings would not have materialized. ALSO - BIG THANKS to D for agreeing to stick out another show with the taper and all that comes with such an evening. More notes from the taper: I felt this was the best show of the four night run. The performance was enthusiastic, energetic and well delivered. Combine that with a playlist that had a great, progressive flow to it and was this was the easily best 2.3 hours we would spend with Radiohead at MSG that week. Seeing Let Down and Climbing Up The Walls performed back to back (and shortly after Lucky) was quite enjoyable. The 4 song voyage late in the main set that was Separator/Reckoner/Fake Plastic Trees/How To Disappear was incredibly divine. Fast forward to the first encore and we received a chunk loaded with energy in all five slots. I recall smiling through the second break in anticipation of how they would follow those up to close the show. They did not leave me disappointed although I found it to be a curious choice to close with The Bends which was a repeat, both for the run and oddly with set placement as well. My personal preference would have been to see something else in that slot and I -love- the song (for the sake of variety - even flipping Bends and PA's position would have sufficed). Otherwise the show was nearly perfect and I left The Garden -VERY- excited for night four. I had a bit of apprehension / nerves before this show. Despite my extensive familiarity with both taping at MSG/their security protocols, and Radiohead (shit, I had already bagged two of their gigs there earlier that week) - this was Friday the 13th in NYC and I was very much expecting to have packs of token drunks surrounding me. Superstitions begone! The recording effort went off without a hitch and was relatively stress free once the gig began. That said, we dodged a bit of a bullet at the end of/after Climbing Up The Walls when some spunion stumbled out of the thicker part of the crowd in our direction and plonked down literally right next to me. My companion allowed him to remain there until the first encore break when you can hear me ask him if he's going to give my buddy his space back...five times. I am beyond grateful this idiot didn't puke all over my feet/legs. If you're downloading this recording - you should be, too. I have endured a lot to get through the show with a complete recording over the years. I would not have stuck around if that would have happened. I've included a photo taken from my position at 8:33 PM. Stage time was scheduled for 8:30. There was TONS of room on the floor every night of the run. Stay Tuned. More to come...or something like that.

Notes: A few static bursts were removed. Otherwise no technical issues. Pretty quiet neighbors for the most part. The very brief comments about Trump are related to his visit to England which was occurring on the day of this show. Complete video will be uploaded soon.
