Notes: Going to Auckland, FBO tree
Russell Castley (1/5) CDR / 2 B+ View   Audience
Notes: Taken from the title: "Going To Auckland" (Tarantura, TCD-6). The famous Auckland concert finally escapes from out of the horders vaults. The sound is very good, an outdoor concert and it shows. The original version played fast by about 3%, but this version has been speed corrected. 'Immigrant Song' is only a fragment of the end and has a very long fade-in. 'Dazed and Confused' fades out during the bow section and cuts around 12:12.

Notes: A fantastic performance, thankfully captured with (what sounds like) nice shotgun mics, *think typical sbd, but with hollow drums, an audience, and a ballanced mix* of a date previously uncirculated till 2001. Some say the tape runs fast, others say slow, go figure, its a good show anyway. Interesting TSRTS tease (earliest one I believe, may be wrong) before the bow solo in Dazed. I can trace the lineage back to the 2nd gen cassette.

Bill Tripp (0/5) FLAC / 1 View   1st Gen (Paul C.) > 2nd Gen > CDR(2) > WAV > FLAC
Notes: 1 FLAC / 2 CDR - Notes: This comes from the same tape (generation) that Tarantura and Genuine Masters have used for their releases "Going to Auckland" and "Kiwi Express". However, this tape was put out just prior to the Tarantura release. This tape has no type of noise reduction/EQ and is a straight transfer to CDR.
