Notes: sbd lemieux, cribbs - good sound overall. Good versions of Pigpen tunes except 2 Souls. That one just sounds lame to me. Set 1 has both PITB and Good Lovin and a somewhat rare SOTOTW. Set 2 features a Star > Dew, and a NFA > GDTRFB > NFA set closer. The Star is a nice version with some thematic jamming prior to verse 1. E72 gets lots of hype. Though this is a good show, it is in the middle to lower half of the performances that I have heard for that tour. But the recording quality ect are good so you should listen to this at least once to make up your own mind.

Notes: set 2 sbd upgrade w/ uncut Drak Star and He's Gone. [2006-04-03] This is a very good Dark Star. Features a style which begins with a 69-70 feel but moves into that jazzy 72 style with some theme jams. Very nice quality and mix. The Dew and He's Gone are also well played. This one disk stayed in the player a while. Definite must hear list.

I would put this on the must hear list. The tape itself has very low hiss and a nice mix so there are no distractions to deal with. Check out the Dark Star - its never seems to get off course while not being phoned in either. The NFA bit is very good, and stands out despite the 100's of times I've heard it played by them. I think that comes about because Garcia holds off a few tenths of seconds from playing expected notes so the listener understands that this isn't coming from memory but from his thoughts and how he felt playing it at the time.
