Nice audio. A little signal/recording sizzle from time to time, but nothing too intrusive. I've always been thankful Ian Gillan only stayed for one album, but I can't help but dig the "Born Again" tracks -- oh, they're pure crap ("Zero the Hero"? "Hotline"?!), but they definitely stick in my head like a bad but catchy jingle. Of course, they're not as cool as the album cover with the little devil baby(and coincidentally the reason Ian left). In fact, the more I write about it, the more I think "Born Again" might be my favorite comedy album -- that or Styx's "Kilroy Was Here". Ah, now if Dennis DeYoung had joined Sabbath for the "Born Again" sessions.... |

FM. The Purple Sabbath era. Lineup: Ian Gillan (v) Tony Iommi (g)Geezer Butler (b)Bev Bevan (d)Geoff Nichols (k). KEYBOARDS!?!?
One of the best sounding Gillan-era shows. Very interesting considering they perform "Smoke on the Water".
