| Notes: | Latvala's comments:"The San Antonio (11/26) show has a great "Dark Star" that has a nice bass solo and thrilling jam("tighten up"), among other treats. Another of those unusual medleys to end this one: "Sugar Magnolia->GDTRFB->Saturday Night". [2006-01-07] Sound quality is not bright, somewhat muddied. Give it a B. Check out Bird Song. PITB is a mid-length version without meandering. The Dark Star is not one of the extended versions. The bass solo again doesn't take me anywhere but the Tightenup jam that follows is good ensemble playing. This is more like a 71 version with the segue into a cowboy tune. Agree with dick on the unusual show ending medley. Worth checking out but probably not on the must keep list. | |||||
