Notes: SBD> MR> C> DAT> CDR; via Seth Kaplan [2007-05-05]mix and tone are very nice, but the EOTW encore and Phil/Ned are missing. Odd show especially set 2 which has no jam segment in the usual sense. The highlight occurs in the USBlues > Jam > Promised Land segment. During summer/fall 74 many experiments of how US Blues was placed in the set 2 were performed. In this case, it didn't lead to doorway to exploration but more of a set 1 bridge jam between two short tunes. Here we have a Brokedown Palace in the ballad spot. Too bad they didn't do this more often in set 1. Set 2 song selection and playing style typical for a set 1. Maybe the missing EOTW encore shows a hidden gem? Here are soe archive comments "No big monster names in this second set, but lots of hot pairs, the china > rider is one of the better 74's out there, and the us blues >jam > promised is sick w/a nice hot jam in between. the playin in the band is nasty, and kreutz is all over the place man with his drums. he takes charge of this playin for the first 12-13 minutes. an inspired row jimmy appears in the first set, and this all around gets a 4 because there's no eyes encore!..." I rate this a B+ performance- playing is top notch but the band doesn't deliver something to set this apart from the best 74 shows.
