Ripple [4:11] [0:16] 4:25 Notes: * = Garcia & Grisman duet The Jerry Site and eyewitness accounts locate the setbreak before Stealin', but I couldn't for the life of me detect a break between Louis Collins and the tuning/banter prior to Stealin'. Similarly, the Jerry Site lists Ripple as the encore, but to my ears this sounds like a segue directly from Bag's Groove. I list a lot of segues above, probably in part because it is hard to hear what's happening with the crowd noise at the end of each tune. Finally, at some point someone with the software, skill, and inclination may wish to raise the levels of the music, which are low compared to the applause. http://db.etree.org/lookup_show.php?shows_key=107389 flaws: d1t1 level jump at 2:35, low levels through out Bob's Notes: This is exactly what you would expect from Garcia & Grisman; a Beautiful show in every aspect, excellent setlist, great energy... smooth and mellow, synergy, and above all an excellent recording.(I used to think AUD was a bad thing) It was just too quiet, on that note I helped it out by raising the volume for the body of the music to match the applause smoothing the transitions in and out of the songs the best that I could to improve the overall sonic quality of the show. The more time that I spent working on this show the more I came to enjoy it! I hesitate to even call this a remaster, it was a quality recording to begin w/ I simply tweaked the leveling and smoothed out the occasional mic stand bump, and close by intrusive (really) loud clapping (50-100 quit counting) when it created clipping that interfered w/ the song usually less than 5/1000 of a second, softened -6 db to -10 db a few were reshaped w/ a pencil tool when necessary. I did not apply any noise reduction or use any compression on this show. Completed 18NOV2004
