Notes: Early Show... MAC (Taped by Peter Jaeger, Nak 300s [rear of floor, center] > Sony D5) > Tascam 122 mkIII playback > Lucid ADA 1000 A-D converter > Tascam DA30 mkII master DAT > Tascam 700 CD > Plexwriter PX-W4824A extraction (EAC v0.9 beta 4) > tracking (CD Wave v1.6) > editing (Sound Forge Studio 6.0) > sector boundary verification (shntool v1.01) > FLAC encoding (Flac Frontend v.1.7.1 etree edition, level 6). Cassette transfer and CD mastering by John Jay Hance, FLAC encoding by jjoops. - Decent recording, more or less what you might expect from the back of the floor. But this is a pretty stellar show, featuring standout versions of Sugaree and Tore Up and what may be my favorite Mission in the Rain. - There seems to be more hiss for the first half of Sugaree than later, and overall perhaps a bit more than I would have expected. There are a few very light clicks audible in places, for example Simple Twist, when the music is very quiet. But the only edits undertaken were to smooth a number of tape transitions. - d2t02 Mission in the Rain clips in.
