Neumann KM-150 > Apogee Mini-Me> Apple iBook via USB @ 24bit/48kHz with Spark LE |
Notes: |
* First time played.
taper notes:
My computer had buffer problems during set one. Minor digital glitches are present which can be heard especially when listening with headphones. Glitches decrease in frequency as the set progresses. Remainder of recording is unaffected and sounds sweet.

Recorded by: Gary Comley, Portland, ME
Location: FOB at right front corner of gate surrounding soundboard, approx. 25' from stage
- Cuts and fades made in PeakLE, resampling by Roxio Jam
- My computer had buffer problems during set one. Minor digital glitches are present which can be heard especially when listening with headphones. Glitches decrease in frequency as the set progresses. Remainder of recording is unaffected. Damn me. Such is the world of 24bit recording (you never know till it's over).... I like this venue, mostly because of how sweet these recordings sound (sans glitches on first disc). Carpeted floors and a relatively low ceiling made for very warm acoustics. The show was sold-out and nearly 150 people were turned away when the box-office closed moments before the band went on. Crowd was very chill--no problems guarding my stand. Thanks again to Steve and Troy for letting me slide my laptop and preamp under their boards for safekeeping.
Disc 02 Track 06 and Disc 03 Track 01 should be omitted if a longer audio media platform becomes available, or if transferring tracks to a portable player (such as a Rio or iPod). I shouldn't have bothered doing this, but I couldn't resist. |
