Notes: Timing was a little out so file was adjusted to correct time/pitch. Files were resampled to 44 100 Hz for CD compatibility and split in CD wav. No other form of sound adjustment has been made. The disc is over 20 years old and there were a couple of clicks (one big one in track 2) and a little surface noise during the quieter songs. This show has been widely bootlegged and few people seem to know that it was originally distributed as a broadcast vinyl to college radio stations and the like. I seem to recall reading at some point (if anyone knows where I might have read this please let me know as I have forgotten) that this disc was pressed in larger numbers than most radio show discs and that a good number were used for promotion. I won?t say where mine came from, or what I paid for it. But it is an original, not one of the many bootlegs that were pressed. It has long been one of the unattainable U2 items I never thought I would get to own. I have included a picture of the disc in the set of files. The best CD bootleg out there of this show is the Swinging Pig release "Another Time another Place". I compared my copy of that CD with these files and noticed a couple of discrepancies. This suggests to me that the sound had been digitally adjusted and that disc noise has probably been removed in mastering. At the quiet parts I could even hear some hiss, which suggested that that CD may even come from a (Very low gen) cassette source, and not the vinyl one I initially believed. The sound levels are very different too. The vinyl version has a more shrill-sounding top-end and the cymbal sounds are very prevalent, more so than on the CD release. Ultimately it is a question of taste whether you prefer this one or the other one. But you could always clean it up yourself. Tracks 4,5,7,9,11,12,13,14 have all been released as b-sides, tracks 9 and 12 on CD even... But most are not available now.
