Notes: Source 1stGenCass>CDR>REMASTER Title - Wipe with a Rolling Stone There are Numerous Cuts. You can read about them here - http://www.uuweb.led-zeppelin.us/1973.htm Remastering Notes: This Recording suffers from 2 major problems, The first problem, one of the Mics was not connected properly and the result was channel dropouts(Mostly on CD One). The fix was to make it Mono in those spots. The second problem was a few parts have severe tape warble, No Quarter, Song Remains the Same, Rain Song, and a minute or two during the Dazed and Confused Bow Solo. I tried to speed correct those parts, They still sound bad but atleast they keep time. Otherwise a very nice recording with very little hiss, So I left the sound unaltered. I ask that everybody respect these wishes.

The 2nd gen source is the longest version available for this recording containing the most music before and after all cuts. The 1st gen fragment is the best sounding source for this recording but unfortunately this is all that is currently available from this source. Both sources have been speed corrected since both ran fast.

Notes: From the deep dark depths of the archives JEMS presents you with a dat(0) copy of this recording they dubbed directly off the master cassettes back in 1993. This dat tape is the root copy of all master transfer lineaged copies of this recording circulating from 1993 on up(and probably the root tape transfer used for every bootleg release that is not the old vinyl release from the 70s). Unfortunately the dat tape was sampled at 32000kHz but this is as of Aug 2009 the best copy available sourced directly from the master cassettes. This recording's problems are already well documented but to restate, the major problems are the following; The right channel drops in and out for long periods of time on the first few songs up until Since I've Been Loving You and sporadically afterwards until towards the end of Dazed and Confused which is pretty much error free until the end of the recording. There are major wow/flutter issues that start in the middle of No Quarter and persist until the end of The Rain Song and show back up for about a minute during the bow solo section of Dazed And Confused and during the audience applause after Whole Lotta Love and the first encore. With that said this is an absolutely wonderful sounding recording when the issues clear up 32kHz sourced audio or not and a killer performance by the band with one of highlights being them playing Goin Down by Jeff Beck during Whole Lotta Love. This may possibly be the best of all the 73 US tour shows and includes a rare appearance of Thank You on this leg of the tour as the final encore.
