The Crowes did NOT play in NYC 04 June 1990
According to crowesbase (http://www.crowesbase.com/tapelisting.cfm?TapeID=1112) they were playing the Pink Pop Festival in Landgraaf, Holland. That show was broadcast on a local FM station and judging by the quality (and general mix) of this disc it is plausible that this is what is represented on this excellent disc. The only rub is that the set list on crowesbase lists "Stare It Cold" in place of STTA.
Crowesbase list a show in Cleveland, OH on 06 April 1990 with a set list that matches, but only lists an AUD source. (http://www.crowesbase.com/tapelisting.cfm?TapeID=1151)
There are a few more FM shows from 1990 listed on crowesbase, but none of them seem to match up. It is almost certainly a FM or pFM source because they censor the word "shit" from "Thick N' Thin" at about 1:10 into the track. It's not likely that they would censor this in Holland....this could be a partial show too.
So...if any Amoricans come across this, and can shed any light on the origin of this recording, please update these notes! Peace
