George Rue (5/5) Tape / 2 B++ View   Audience>3rd gen tape
Notes: I have a 3rd gen tape that runs 125 min. I'm missing the last 5 min of W.L.L. Medley (from Going Down Slow) and the 2 encores. Granted it's not complete, but this is the source which Gallows Pool CD is made from. I've played my 3rd gen side by side with the Gallows cd and my tape sound noticeablely better. Has a fuller sound. I like my tape better. Would like to find a 1st or 2nd gen for comparison.

Notes: Pretty good audience recording, but a definate analog presence. There are some spots where it seems that the recording has been patched with another source. It's done well, but you can still tell. Disc 1 fades out a few seconds into Dazed And Confused, but song appears in its entirety on disc 2. There are a few near-drops during Going To California, as well. It's a great performance, though.
