Notes: | Led Zeppelin 03/07/70 - Montreaux Switzerland "Intimidator" (Empress Valley) Matrix# [72/73/74] Source: AUD + SBD (to fill gaps). I ripped this from my silver discs (which I baught at the trauma of my wallet... As this set me back about $180), so enjoy it. ---------------------------------------------- Track list: D1 (53:31) We're Gonna Groove I Cant Quit You Baby Dazed and Confused Heartbreaker White Summer/Black Mountain Side Since I've Been Lovin You D2 (58:16) Organ Solo > Thank You What Is and What Should Never Be Moby Dick How Many More Times Whole Lotta Love (cut after 3 minutes) ---------------------------------------------- Review from Tight But Loose website: -Empress Valley have come up trumps with this release. The sound quality is simply stunning and it is hard to tell the difference between the audience and the soundboard tapes. As much of the show as exists has been assembled, and the editing between the two recordings is seamless. It was however a bit of an overindulgence to release the soundboard tape by itself as the third disc, this really should have been a two disc composite. Having said that it is still the best version ever of this great show. (Jules McTrainspotter Nov 01). Review from Saitoh: -I personally agree that during HMMT, the slice to the soundboard to complete the song (and meddlys) is very VERY hard to pick up it is so well done (took me 3 listenings to figure out its just a couple seconds before 9min flat, and thats with the knowledge of where the Divinity source ended). While the soundboard is decent quality (not stunning, but it is easily better then the previous Charisma release), it has been heavily tweaked, and evidence of this can be heard during some of the quiet parts of the medly (its not agrivating, but revieling more or less). While this is originally a 3 disc release (notice the matrix numbers at the top) I'm not posting the very last disc. Why? Because its just the partial soundboard tape that is in circulation, and since the audience tape is better quality (for 1970, thats a scary scary thought), its not worth the time to post and download IMHO (if someone wants it I'll post it, but I dont think its needed as the above reviewer noted). | |||||
