Comment
setlist courtesy deadlists.com as of 3/04, which says: "This tape sometimes circulates mislabeled "8/21/69", because Bear's cassette master is labeled 8/21/69, but the posters for the show are dated 8/20. Charles Lloyd plays flute on Minglewood and China Cat > jam."

Notes: sbd - complete cotsman [2006-06-12]. Deadlists indicates this is the 8/20/69 show. Also the 1st performance of Easy Wind. A solid performance with Charles Lloyd playing flute on Minglewood and CCat. Starts out with the new tunes in development Casey Jones, Easy Wind, interesting segues Morning Dew > High Time > Mama Tried > Me And My Uncle and New Minglewood Blues > China Cat Sunflower > jam > Doin' That Rag, Big Boss Man, Sittin On Top Of The World. The aft part is a slower paced though still psychedlic Cryptical Suite > Dark Star (very short with no pre verse 1 jam to speak of). If you want a show from this era to sit down and listen to this might be the ticket. Good sound.
