Garcia & Saunders: MAR > DAT > CD > EAC > SHNv3. Recorded by Charlie Disalvo, spaced Shure Unidyne IVs [one in front of Garcia, one in front of Fierro an unknown distance away]. This seed seems to derive from audio discs related to the earlier .shn set, but introduces seekability and possibly small cosmetic changes.

Sitting Here in Limbo (1) [16:40] [0:15] d2t02. Tuning [1:12] d2t03. I Second That Emotion [18:58] [0:04] Personnel: Merl Saunders - Keyboards, vocals; Jerry Garcia - guitar, vocals; John Kahn - bass; ?? (?Paul Humphrey?) - drums; Martin Fierro - horns. Notes: - (1) with Maria Muldaur. The Jerry Site says this is Donna Jean Godchaux, but to my untrustworthy ears this sounds like Maria. Speculations/corrections welcomed! - The show is a little laconic and slightly disjointed, IMO. - The recording is fairly hissy, hissier than the circulating copies of the late show from the same taper. - Charlie Disalvo says this about taping these shows (DNC Garcia folder post by Sean Cribbs, April 3, 2002): "That machine was a bitch to run!" ... "I placed one mic in front of Jerry and the other one was passed down to total strangers in front of Martin Fierro. The stereo effect was amazing, almost like setting up in a studio. You can hear the drums go from the left to the right." jg1974-12-29-early-disalvo-taperpat-d1t01.flac:d223cecf67331371bc6217559923b5d0 jg1974-12-29-early-disalvo-taperpat-d1t02.flac:8b4e80e1b74f6428ae5ce34f72986b7f jg1974-12-29-early-disalvo-taperpat-d1t03.flac:570777d0a6da6b4c213224f98489f926 jg1974-12-29-early-disalvo-taperpat-d2t01.flac:505b55e15888b0618647509780d82cc3 jg1974-12-29-early-disalvo-taperpat-d2t02.flac:10494304920610473455ffe1f6e2b4d4 jg1974-12-29-early-disalvo-taperpat-d2t03.flac:e327aa1ebfce373c14ca7b8e8974a201 Size: 471 MB
