Notes: Great '93 show. David Murray jumps right in and doesn't shy from playing some great sax. Dark Star isn't as diluted as many post '74 versions. Space is good. Clearly one of the best from this year. Update- 6/30/04. My opinion of this show has degraded on renewed listening. Overall flow just not as good as othernights and Murray's playing is not as integrated into the group as my original opinion would suggest. He fits in with the JGB appearance better. Also, there are isolated single channel digital pops on most tunes, and the mix is not as balanced or with Phil as thumpy as other dates, so I only rate it an A- for sound quality. [7/2/2005] Bird Song has some Other One teases in it that is probably the most innovative jamming in the show.
