Notes: Steve Rolfe aud - greart recording of a great show which I was lucky to attend. Set 2 has some great jams, including a nice Caution tease which is similar to 5/6/81 except the ordering of He's Gone/TOO/Caution jam is different. Even if you have Dick's Picks I'd grab this one to get the audience perspective of a hot show.

Set 1 starts with the not overplayed CR&S but the rest of the set didn't keep me engaged. Set 2 has an unusual set list with the UJB breakout, Caution Jam etc. which justifies it as a DP.

Notes: sbd w/ aud patches [2007-02-25] This show was an early DP release. Around Nov 2006, this was circulated on a bit torrent site. Apparently, the sbd for this date was available before the DP release but closely held. This performance is on my must hear 79 list and attests to Dick's picking an interesting show - besides being an excellent performance, it has a somewhat unusual mix of tunes - CR&S to start the show and UJB breakout to start and end set 2. The info file states an unknown aud was used to supply the first two songs missing from set 1 but the remaining patches were provided by the Rolfe aud I seeded. I don't know that the 1st two songs are from a different aud than the Rolfe or whether that is how it came to the person who then added patches from the known Rolfe aud. I'd recommend that you get the DP's for this date to support that series.
