Notes: SBD w/ patches - I prefer the aud. The pitch on this seems fast (at least on set 1) and its missing the NYE countdown on set 2. Though the vocals are better, Phil isn't mixed up on this sbd so overall, the buzz from the audience makes this show come across better. The sbd doesn't change my view of the show - set 1 and 2 are good but set 3 loses the momentum and doesn't deliver a killer jam portion that one would like to rate this a must hear show. So sound = A/B because of the pitch and missing NYE countdown. SHow = A/B for a weaker than hoped set 3.

Notes: Rolfe aud - another excellent audience tape. Full sound. Ok its NYE so the crowd is in a party mood. Show starts with an up energy Straw > Franklin's, followed by a mix of normal set 1 tunes played this year, and concluding with the standard coupling rousing Alabama > Promised. Set 2 begins with the midnight Sugar Mag which segues into a nice China > Rider to keep the energy at a high level. The rest of the set is very solid, though nothing extraordinary. Set 3 starts off slow with an average Althea. The UJB is an improvement but the only highlight is teh Lesh/Cippolina interaction when NFA is started after Space. Otherwise set 3 is the weakest of the night. Overall, great solid, first two sets good but the jam portion of the show sleepy or non-existent.

This is a fairly good show for NYE, a nice close to an excellent run of shows. I wouldn't put it in the top 25% of 79 shows, it just seems to lack something...
