Notes: Disc One 1st Set Happy Bday Mickey Minglewood They Love Each Other Mama Tried> Mexicalli Candyman> Red Rooster Cumberland> Beat it on Down Althea Disc Two 1st Set (cont) Lost Sailor> Saint of Circumstance> Deal 2nd Set Stranger> Franklin's Disc Three 2nd Set (cont) Tuning Women are Smarter He's Gone> Truckin'> Drums> Jam> Other One> Morning Dew> Johnny B Goode Encore Don't Ease Disc three will require an 80 minute disc unless you put the encore at the end of disc two. Here are the taper's notes for this Greek run. "The masters were made with Sennheiser 421 mics > Sony TC D-5 cassette deck. The tape was Maxell XL II 90's and were Dolby B encoded. There were mounted on a spreader bar and hand held without the benefit of a mic stand and located midway between the stage and the soundboard. I played them back on the original D-5, and ran the analog signal through a Sony PCM R-700 (to accomplish the A/D transfer) to my PC. Using Sound Forge 4.0, the levels were normalized, and a slight NR was applied. Then Using CD architect (By Sonic Foundry), they were disc'd. What I would really like to stress is that, all in all, these really are only "B" grade aud recordings. They are certainly quite listenable, and I'm sure most listeners will be able to get past that and enjoy them. I would like to mention that with the exception of 12/9/81, this '81 Greek run was the tightest security I've ever experienced. I witnessed at least two other tapers getting busted by BGP security. I consider myself lucky, and do believe these were possibly the only master to make it out of the shows. Feel free to post this e-mail when you make your offer. Enjoy! - Jim Wise"
