Notes: "Studio Gems vol 2" (Kobra) Led Zeppelin Studio Gems vol. 2 Outtakes & Home Recordings This is a collection of home recordings and outtakes from 1970 to 1972. Tracklist: Track 01 - Hey hey what can i do? Island Studios July 1970 Track 02 - White summer J. Felix TV show 4/4/1970 Acoustic(!!!!!!) Track 03 - Poor Tom Different take Olympic Studios 1970 Tracks 04 - 12 Home recordings may 1970 After Page & Plant trip in Snowdonia. These songs remember the nights they were playing around the blaze with their acoustic guitars. Track 04 - Snow down It's the origin of The Rover (Instrumental) Really different Track 05 - Dazed & Confused Acoustic song, it remembers me the chorus of Poor Tom without Bonham Track 06 - Wind in the willows This is a slower take than the one finally released in 1975 Track 07 - I wanna be her man Rare acoustic take unedited (I think it's on cabala or the outtakes box sets) Really cool... Track 08 - Acoustic Jam Bron-y-aur take. Bonzo plays the Bongos and you'll hear a little child laughting. Lovely. Track 09 - That's the way This is an instrumental take that Page recorded, you'll hear a dog barking. On second take Plant sings. This is a faster take than Led Zep III Track 10 - hey hey what can I do? Home recording with Page at guitar and Plant singing the chorus. Track 11 - Immigrant song Page fixes the rythm and Plant sings a vocal guides it's the origin of the finally released on III Track 12 - Out on the tiles Page fixes the rythm too with Bonham, Plant sings a vocal guides (chorus) Track 13 - The battle of evermore It was recorded Plant/Page alone together on the Studio, without Bonham, Jones & Sandy Denny. The guitars and mandolins was the same that he used to record the final take released on IV. Plant was inspired on a book about medieval wars in Scotland, Page was playing the Jones mandolin late at night... and the magic was created! Recorded Olympic Studios 1971 Track 14 - The Rover Was created by Page/Plant playing together. This is an acoustic (and short!!!) demo of this song. Rare! Track 15 - That's the way This is almost the final take. Recorded Olympic Studios in 1970 Track 16 - Blues Medley From the "Hats Off To Roy Harper" Sessions. It's an acoustic take including Feel So Bad, Fixing To Die, That's Alright, it's included on The Outtakes Box Set, but this outtake it's complete! Recorded Olympic Studios in 1970 Track 17 - Since I've been loving you It's almost the same final take. It changes a little the Plant's way. Recorded Olympic Studios 1970 Track 18 - No Quarter (Instrumental) After 2 failed Jones playing piano, begins this excellent instrumental take. Olympic Studios 1970
