Notes: sbd complete [2006-07-12] This show is a must hear for its famous encore: drums > Viola Lee Blues > Caution jam > Viola Lee Blues > Feedback > What's Become Of The Baby > Feedback > And We Bid You Good Night, namely an excellent Viola with Jerry not holding back and the only performance of What's Become Of The Baby. the rest of the show is solid but not particularly better than the many other fine shows this month. Apparently the GD wanted to make up for the previous night where the Velvet Underground stole the show (in an underhand way) so they boldly went where they hadn't gone before! This is also officially released (though the official release doesn't have the WBOTB). There are a few gremlins in the encore section but they are minor and of short duration, otherwise the sound and mix are very good.

I find that listening to this show the music didn't grab me as much as on the 1st listen - the setlist seems sort of chopped up. As I listen to more 1969 it reminds me of 1978 with its wide variation in show energy/quality.
