Notes: | Not Fade Away (d2t7) some music lost at start... There are splices in Sugaree (5:14) and Morning Dew (5:47) Pigpens' last singing show. The Truckin and Morning Dew are benchmarks! The Jam coming out of The Other One and into Morning Dew is downright spooky. Pure improvisaton throughout the 2nd set. Beautiful! This song is highly praised (Tapers Compendium) as being THE ONE. The one night when everything converged perfectly to produce some of the finest four hours of music the Dead ever assembled on stage. Final show of a 4-night stand at the Strand Lyceum as well as the final show of the legendary Europe '72 Tour

The lineage of the DAT is guaranteed. I did the transfer myself. The DAT was played on a Panasonic SV-3700, transferred to my Delta DiO 2496, recorded with SoundForge 4.5, andtracked and burned with CD Architect. EAC was used to create the SHN files. There is a <1 second patch in Playin' to fix a small spot of tape warble. The Morning Dew was patched from another previously circulating version with 10-second crossfades on each side to minimize the difference in quality. There is also a small patch in Sugar Magnolia. All of these patches came from previously circulating copies.transferred from DAT/burned/shortened/seeded by khensu ([email protected]) Enjoy! 10/17/2002
