Notes: DVD - FOR SALE FROM GDM -- NOT FOR TRADE Grateful Dead Movie Originally issued on film and then video. A new DVD version includes additional footage, and a companion 5-CD set includes yet more tracks. Film & Video The live tracks are from the Winterland run from 16-20 October 1974, the same concerts from which the tracks on Steal Your Face were taken. Gary Gutierrez animation (note 1) U.S.Blues Beat It On Down The Line Truckin' The Wheel Concert footage U.S.Blues 18 Oct One More Saturday Night 19 Oct Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad 18 Oct Truckin' 19 Oct Eyes Of The World 19 Oct Sugar Magnolia 17 Oct (note 2) Sunshine Daydream 19 Oct (note 2) Photos/animations (note 1) Saint Stephen Ripple The Golden RoadTo Unlimited Devotion) Concert footage Playing In The Band 16 Oct Stella Blue 17 Oct Casey Jones 17 Oct (note 3) Jam 18 Oct Morning Dew 18 Oct Johnny B Goode 20 Oct Closing credits (note 1) It Must Have Been The Roses Notes (1) these are album tracks rather than live versions (2) Aaron Donovan lists these as both from 17 October, on the grounds that that was the only time in this run that the two segued from one to the other. But the track listing for the 5-CD set indicates that one comes from from 17 October and the other from 19 October, so they must have been spliced together. (3) this version also on Steal Your Face (4) the track listing on the cover has "He's Gone," but that seems to be a mistake: it's not on the video. DVD Version This includes the following additional concert footage (the dates are taken from a posting by David Lemieux): Uncle John's Band 19 Oct Sugaree 18 Oct (note 5) The Other One> 17 Oct Spanish Jam> 17 Oct Mind Left Body Jam> 17 Oct The Other One 17 Oct Scarlet Begonias 19 Oct China Cat Sunflower> 17 Oct I Know You Rider 17 Oct Dark Star 18 Oct Weather Report Suite: 18 Oct - Prelude - Part 1 - Part 2Let It Grow)

Going Down the Road > UJB // (fragment) Transcription by JR Fishman NY, NY [email protected] Transcribers Notes: 1. The quality of these tapes far exceed the multi gen versions that have circulated since the late 70's. These came from DATS that were procured in 1995/1996 and were originally played back on a Fostex D-10 DAT recorder and recorded to CD using an standalone hhb-800 CD-r. For purists, I would strongly suggest moving D2.T2 thru D2.D4 to D4 (after UJB). 2. Some of the Track Markings can be better maintained. Somebody might want to retrack. 3. "To Patch or not to Patch - that be the question". There are at-best below-average audience recordings that can be used to patch. It was decided it was not worth the effort to paste in an inferior source to such a fine SBD.
