Notes: Scott Jones aud - sound derated a tad because its an outdoor show and the crowd is a bit obnoxious at times. Standalone Scarlet at end of set 1 good, and set 2 has a nice string of tunes to start off. TOO gets high ratings in reviews but it didn't strike me as that exceptional. Maybe it sounds better on the sbd.
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 3 B B View 12830
Notes: sbd patched via cotsman - the aud splices are done without any cross fades and come across suddenly like someone grabbed the channel changer when you are watching tv. The board in set 1 also sounded hissier than normal. The songs in set 1 up to scarlet drag to me, the band really plods along. Scarlet is ok but it didn't make me want to listen to it again. Set 2 has a great setlist but I don't like any of these versions. The mix is very Phil/Bobby heavy and light on Garcia, so it has the metronome quality which is best heard on Dancin' where it seemed they were stuck in a loop and didn't know how to get out. So, both the aud and sbd didn't give me a good impression of this show. One of the least interesting of 76 IMO. Add in the poor mix and chopped up sbd and I wouldn't grab for this before hearing the better shows of 76.

Audio\Video Flaws: 1) First 1 minute 11.956 seconds that is the lead into Sugaree used the audio that came with the video as it was better than the audience splice from the sbd source. This portion of the audio was normalized to blend in better. 2) Between Sugaree and Minglewood, 1 minute 52.707 seconds was missing from the soundboard source and filled in with audio from the original video soundtrack. This portion of the audio was normalized to blend in better. 3) Between Minglewood and Row Jimmy, 1 minute 24 seconds of video was missing that was filled by using graphics and audio source. This is part of 6 minute break between songs where Phil left the stage. 3) Between Big River and Loser, part of the video was missing - on all 3 audio sources I looked at, this part of the show was also missing so I was unable to fill in properly. When the video started again, the first 20 seconds was missing from the soundboard source and filled in with audio from the original video soundtrack. This portion of the audio was normalized to blend in better. 4) Between Loser and Looks Like Rain, part of the video was missing - on all 3 audio sources I looked at, this part of the show was also missing so I was unable to fill in properly. Set I highlights are TMNS andScarlet Begonias Set II has a H>S>F (which does meander a bit) but segue's into a Dancin' > Samson which provides a long continuous chunk of upbeat energetic music, after a brief pause with IMHBTR, they come back with a NFA > Drums > TOO > Ship of Fools with an overused Sugar Mag/JBG encore. The NFA thru TOO is draggy and slow - the 76 style that many people dislike. Overall listenable but spotty in performance. I think you can skip it unless your compulsive.
