acoustic and electric, early and late, includes NRPS; MR > DAT > ZA2 > CDR, except the NRPS sets which have 2 cass gens; this is apparently the best possible available copy- one fewer cass gen than first etreed version, complete NRPS 2nd set, less hifreq hiss; more details in info file; via D. Hollister, J. Tiedrich, D. Finney. L. Orf; note L. Orf did very minor editing, mostly putting tasteful fades where there were cuts in the original- no NR

Notes: The Grateful Dead - 15MAY70 The Fillmore East - New York, NY SBD>MR>DAT>ZA2>CDR (NRPS Sets have 2 Cass gens) This is from the infamous "broom closet tapes" where the enterprising stage crew ran a SBD feed to a closet below the stage and taped the whole show for posterity. From an internet shn file download - Editied and remastered by The Wizard - [email protected]. All editing done with DC-Art Millennium Software. Here is what was done on a set basis: Note: Discs retracked so each Set on individual discs and not split. Early Dead Acoustic - Light Continuous Noise filter to reduce hiss, vocals were high so the peaks were reduced some and the whole set normalized to 0 dB for a better mix. Glich in Bill Graham introduction corrected, reel change smoothed out. Early NRPS - Light Continuous Noise filter to reduce hiss. Two pops corrected. Cuts in tunings smoothed out. Pops in Fair Chance corrected. Early Dead Electric - Light Continuous Noise filter to reduce hiss, vocals were high so the peaks were reduced some and the whole set normalized to 0 dB for a better mix. Glich in Drums corrected. Late Acoustic Dead - Light Continuous Noise filter to reduce hiss, vocals were high so the peaks were reduced some and the whole set normalized to 0 dB for a better mix. 60 cycle Harmonic filter to reduce objectionable hum.
