They made tapers take everything out of our normal gear bags and put our stuff in white plastic kitchen garbage bags, and then told us to check our regular bags for retrieval after the show. We were all pissed off at this, and many tapers just decided to blow it off completely, just patch, or they brought in the minimal amount of stuff. I brought in the most stuff, and from the looks of the rigs in the tapers section, nobody brought in a V2, an AD2K+, and definitely not a laptop (typical). There were only nine mic stands, not counting the 1 FOB mic stand. To further amazement, only 2 mic stands were actually DFC, the rest being 5 or more feet off of DFC. One set of mics were erroneously pointed at the floor, ceiling, and sides as the guy's mounts were loose. On the stand that I was on, there was a pair of MBHO 603's, run ORTF with active cables into an MP2 and an M1, and then there was my rig. The FOB taper was quite a bit inside the equilateral triangle, so who knows what happened on his tape. There wasn't a soul patched out of me that night, so this may very well be the best recording in the house that night. Enjoy. Hope the listener feels it was worth the extreme effort... First Time Played: Instant Karma (John Lennon cover), New York New York (Harry Belafonte cover), No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn (Beastie Boys cover), Shakedown Street (Grateful Dead cover) Thanks to Friends of Cheese & Steve Katz for the setlist
