Notes: sbd [2006-10-20] From the info file "This is not in stereo: the same channel is spread over both using a splitter technique. The channel that should contain Keith, half of Jerry, Billy, and possibly some of Phil, is missing; Keith is minimally audible" Listening to this I didn't hear any obvious issues so the above comments shouldn't detract you from giving this a spin. The sbd is better than the cousin-it aud. Tight show, energy, one of the better from 78. 1st Red Rocks shows. Combined with 7/8/78 and you have an excellent 2 night run from this year.

Notes: aud [2006-10-20]Being an open air venue, there is no reverb here so it sounds dry like many sbds. This recording is also fast so its needs a speed correction. The show is upbeat and the gd are all present and accounted for. This results in positive upside surprise (though the next night gets most of the attention perhaps beause the sbd for that dates sounds better). One of the better shows from 78 for performance quality and energy. I think the sbd for this date is the better recording and I'm an aud-i-ho.

Notes: AUD Source: Recording by Bob Wagner. Sony ECM-54P's > Sony TC-158. [2007-03-01]This is an improved version of the existing aud source. The sound quality is much improved, though the outdoor venue makes the soundfield appear monoish. The show is a good one for 78 with a double encore and a upbeat set 2 song choice. Probably should hear once but my overall rank is in the top of the 2nd quartile.

Notes: Fix of shnid 293 - SBD> MR> PCM > DAT; DAT> CD> EAC> SHN (disks 2 and 3 made seamless by Bill Tetzeli) [2007-12-18]This has a low priority for listening (though I do have it) because the only change was to make set 2 seamless from the prior seed.

Combined with the next night and you have a great snapshot of 78

Notes: flac16; 3-Source SBD/AUD Matrix Mix by OctopusRider [2009-08-28]This performance is overshadowed by the next night (maybe because the next night is very good and has circulated in excellent bbd sound quality). But this show is not mailed in - July 78 shows seem to be very well played. The matrix is well done with no obvious phasing errors.
